Oak Grove Child Care Center offers full time and part time employment. The following positions are available:
Head Start/Early Head Start Teacher
Duties:
- Prepare lesson plans
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students
- Encourage students to explore learning opportunities.
- Ensure the health and safety of students.
- Employ a variety of educational techniques.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be creative, innovative and flexible.
- Ability to develop lesson plans and successfully teach concepts to students.
- Proficient active listening and observation skills to understand and adapt to students’ various learning needs.
- Knowledgeable at compiling and recording anecdotal notes.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Advanced technology skills to track student attendance, assessments and progress.
- Leadership skills and patience to work with students.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education/Early Child Development or related field
- Associates in Early Childhood Education/Early Child Development
- Early Childhood Development Certificate
- 12 credit hours in Early Childhood from an accredited college
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
Experience Requirement:
- Teacher must have at least 2 years of classroom experience.

Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teachers
The individual interested in this position must be creative, innovative, dependable, and flexible and possess a Bachelor’s or an Associates degree in Education/Early Childhood Development, and/or CDA with at least 2 years of classroom experience working with infants to 5 years
Before/After School Teacher
The individual interested in this position must be creative, innovative, dependable, and flexible. Have an Associates degree and/or CDA preferred with at least 2 years of classroom experience working with children ages 6 to 12 years.
Driver
The individual interested in this position must be dependable, and flexible with an excellent driving record and at least 2 years’ experience transporting children.
